Ellen Hoffman is a preschool music teacher and creator of the  MAKING MUSIC program.  She has been teaching, entertaining at libraries, and working with educators for more than 20 years.

 

Ellen first developed the MAKING MUSIC program in Los Angeles in 1991.  Since moving to Massachusetts in 1993, she has taught at numerous preschools including Steppingstones in Stow, Beth El in Sudbury, and Fair Acres on Cape Cod.  A "Mommy and Me" version of the program was a Sudbury staple for over 13 years.  In 2006, she hosted a workshop on integrating music and story time for the Metrowest Regional Library System, and in 2008 was invited to host a similar program at NELA, where she promptly was deluged with requests to perform at local libraries.  Included among the numerous libraries she has visited are Chatham, Cotuit, Everett, East Boston, Allston/Brighton, Everett, Weston, Wayland, Jamaica Plain, Sterling, Winchester,  Sudbury, Eastham and many more.
